New Password Requirements:
In these challenging times, we have increased the security level of our password requirements to the following:
- 15 alphanumeric characters (minimum) with no maximum
- At least one each of the following included in the 15 characters: capital letter, number, symbol
- With a longer passcode, you will not be required to have it force changed.
While this may seem like a lot of characters, increasing the number of characters is the best way to deter criminals from guessing your password with an automated program. Here are a couple thoughts about how to pick a long password.
- Choose an event that happened to you and pick 4 words that describes that event and then add a number and symbol. For example: Julyfourthbeesting3#
- Pick something that is meaningful to you. For example: !Ilove4skyd!ving, or 5disneyrollercoaster$
